In our school we made a wall of accomplishment where I free-hand drew each state on a piece of poster board and had my daughter color it, map the capital and any significant bodies of water and mountains, and she also drew the state symbols for each state. It was a long term project that she worked on all year. And we posted each one on the wall in our dining room. Great fun and learning with that one. My husband and I also made up a song and published it to youtube where we sang all 50 states and capitals by region. Needless to say we milked this lesson for all it was worth. :) Found you at Make Your Home Sing Monday.

StephanieMommytheTeacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12368144294328546497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3843154749043736906.post-29363180692242884442015-06-28T13:44:20.443-04:002015-06-28T13:44:20.443-04:00Hi, Myhomeofmanyblessings! I do know of the individual state lapbooks, and that they go into more detail than just the initial basic facts in the Exploring the 50 states lapbook. I have not tried the individual ones out yet though, so thank you for sharing that with me that you have enjoyed them. I will have to look into getting some of those as well. Thanks for your comment and have a wonderful week :)Raising Samuelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00404256988509645401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3843154749043736906.post-9020110702315858672015-06-28T13:11:40.550-04:002015-06-28T13:11:40.550-04:00Yes!We are doing this too right now!! That's so much fun she enjoyed learning about states, and incorporating arts and crafts sounds like a great idea! Thank you for the suggestion and for commenting. Blessings to you as well :)Raising Samuelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00404256988509645401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3843154749043736906.post-12276462493803905032015-06-23T15:43:42.547-04:002015-06-23T15:43:42.547-04:00This looks like a lot of fun!
