Can you believe Christmas is almost here? Time seems to be going so fast, and the end of the year always feels like the fast forward button is being hit. With all the activities and events going on this time of year, I have heard many of my friends say I haven't had time to be in the Word or have quiet time. This got me thinking, so I am sharing a way below with each devotional on when to find time to be in the Word. Each of the journals has lay-flat binding, a ribbon marker, and non-bleed paper. There is scripture, a reflection or message, a prayer, and lines to reflect and write on for each of the 365 days of the year. Each of the pages is marked with the calendar date, and each devotional could take as little as five minutes to read through. I enjoyed the flexibility of the lines where you could write, or possibly draw or color.

Peace Begins with Me Journal: A 365-Day Devotional Journal has a beautiful, tranquil color of turquoise, white and gold throughout the front and back cover, and all through the journal. I immediately thought of my mother-in-law when I saw this journal. It is classy, comforting, and elegant just like she is. The theme of this journal is a gift from God, which is peace. Peace affects others, and my mother-in-law is one of the wonderful people that counsels with me and offers me advice to help keep my peace. I admire and look up to her, and I am very excited to gift this journal to her soon for her birthday.
Her and I love having coffee together and talking, so I thought I would share this as one of the ways where time can be spent in the Word. The pages are absolutely gorgeous, and I love the color this journal used. When I think of peace, I would absolutely think of this calm, turquoise color. I looked up important dates for my mother-in-law in this journal, and found 2 Corinthians 12:9 and Psalm 108:5-6, which spoke of grace and glory.

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus (365-Day Devotional Journals) is a delightful journal full of flowers in all kinds of colors from the greens of the stems to peach, coral, and white petals. Each of these devotions starts with a line from a song or hymn. The theme of this journal is finding the time to be in the Word. This made me think of all us Moms always running around and busy. My sister has 3 daughters and this journal really made me think of her. My nieces and my sister love being in the car and listening to music and singing, so I love that each of these devotions start with a song or hymn.
My sister is another amazing person in my life who I seek advice and counsel from. She is a cosmetologist so she is always making others feel beautiful by doing their hair and makeup. This is something her and I have enjoyed doing together also for many years, even before she became a professional cosmetologist. This made me think of spending time in the morning getting ready for work, or later in the day when you are ready to go run errands, why not spend a precious few moments in the Word. I am excited to gift this journal to my sister as one of her Christmas gifts. I hope it gives her the ability to take the time to be in the Word. "Take the Name of Jesus With You" by: Lydia Baxter was the song for a special day in my sister's life. It is about going through the journey of life and completing it; something her and I talk about daily.

The Earth Is the Lord's, and Everything In It: 365-Day Devotional Journal is a journal that focuses on the creative nature of God. It's about having our souls refreshed and hearts encouraged. While this journal also has beautiful flowers, the focus of the illustrations is nature and these outstanding peacocks. The blues, greens, yellows and grays in the feathers are whimsical and this journal just spoke my language and style.
I spend a good 20 minutes each day in car rider at my sons' school. I thought this would be a great time to have quiet time and be in a relaxed mood when my sons get in the car from a busy day at school. Colossians 3:2 was the opening scripture for a special day in my life, and that was very fitting for me lately. It gave me the encouragement not to focus on things of the earth, and gave me a reminder that my focus needs to be on God. All three of these journals are exquisite and I think they would be beloved by anyone that would receive them as a gift, even if it is a gift for yourself.
