God's Big World Kids Magazine Review & Giveaway

God's Big World Kids Magazine Review & Giveaway

I was sponsored by World News Group to review their God's Big World magazine and am excited to share my experience as well as an awesome giveaway!  All opinions are mine alone.  For more information please read my full disclosure.

God's Big World

Review:

Science can be one of the toughest subjects to teach to children.  It is especially difficult when some of the scientific ideas don't match Christian values or concepts.  World News Group is a Christian's Kids Magazine that includes scripture on many pages that apply to the lesson being taught, a Christian perspective narrative, and many fun photos of animals, people and places.

God's Big World

I reviewed the God's Big World September/October 2015 magazine, and there were 8 different lessons included!  Each lesson includes scripture, current event, summary, and vibrant photos that children will love.  This is wonderful because we even got a social studies lesson out of this in learning about different countries.  Each lesson also comes with an activity such as:
  • Word List Rhyming (to help teach sight words and vocabulary)
  • Spot the Difference or Mistakes puzzles
  • Color by Letter
  • Crossword puzzles that have pictures to recognize beginner letter consonant sounds.
  • Story sequence activity.

My sons are ages 4 and 6, and this edition was perfect for our family.  The next level is World Kids (for elementary age kids), but that seemed to be a little too advanced for them for right now.  We really enjoyed the digital magazine and all the lessons, especially the one with the flamingo with a carbon leg!  I told the boys it was like an Iron Man leg and they loved that!

All magazine subrciptions also come with online access to World News Group for fun and interactive games!

God's Big World
This is the main page on the online access.  There are tabs for different stories, an area to download previous issues of the digital magazine and a "Play" tab that allows you to print fun worksheets and activities.

God's Big World
This is Story 1 on the online access.  There is scripture, a short paragraph and also a narrative video that plays.

There is also an area to download some of the previous issues of the digital magazine.

  4. Thanks for sharing your review. I was a long-time subscriber to the magazine, but personally didn't like the changes last year when they went with more online content and less print magazines. My kids enjoyed getting a magazine each month and I never have time to go online and get the content (though I've heard it is great).

Hope to see you again next week with #What to Read Wednesday.

    1. Hi, Trena and thanks for visiting from #What to Read Wednesday! I agree, my sons and I enjoy reading actual books and magazines where we can flip the page and feel the book in our hands. The content is wonderful though! Thanks for commenting and hope you have a wonderful week :)
