More Than a Holiday Review and (Giveaway Expired)

More Than a Holiday - Paperback book

I am very honored to be writing this review on this extraordinary book.  I was given a free copy of the book to review but the thoughts are my own.

"It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" is one of my favorite Christmas songs.  It reminds me of my childhood but as an adult, I realize how busy this time of year is also!  My sons are getting old enough to understand the true meaning of Christmas and I was in search of fun Advent calendar activities.  I found that and more in this book by: Scott and Sarah Nichols.

My favorite part of this book is that there are different sections such as for the adults to read before the activity, prayers, scripture, discussions and activities as a family.  It is very easy to follow along and you can adjust the amount of activities you do, depending on how much time you have during that day.  Everything has been planned out for you, so all you have to do is sit back and have fun with your family as you read the story of how Christmas came to be.

There is a lot of heart and resources that have gone into this book.  It is based on the stories in the Bible and how you can apply these stories to your life and family at Christmas.  I am very excited to be doing this each day with my family instead of our normal homeschool curriculum for the month of December.  I hope you enjoy this book as much as our family and I wish you all the best of luck in the giveaway!

Blessings,

Kelly

  1. Thanks for this opportunity! I love Christmas . . . I can't think of a favorite tradition, there are so many! Maybe going to the Christmas Eve service as a family and then driving home when it's dark and, sometimes, snowy. Everything is magical on Christmas Eve :-)
